colour explained (2014)

colours explained.

Digital Photo print. Blow-up of tiny pieces of matter (x 10000 or ~10um ) + name of the corresponding colour.

This digital photo series combines two kinds of theoretical approaches to colour: black and white pictures showing the morphology of certain pigments are juxtaposed to the written description of the corresponding colour and material that has such colour. Scientific and phenomenological approaches work together in a kind of discordant way.
